To access the Avaya Mobile Headset Adapter (MHA) properties (Headset
type and Backlight options), press the
Tools and press the 3 key on the dialpad to select

when the MHA is attached.

4. Bluetooth

Your Avaya 1165E IP Deskphone is equipped with a radio system to
support Bluetooth wireless technology enabled headsets. Double-press
the
Headset
key to open the Bluetooth Setup dialog box. You must be
familiar with the operation of the navigation keys to work in the Bluetooth
Setup dialog box. See the Navigation keys description.
Services
Function
Press to answer an incoming call.
If there is no incoming call, the Avaya 1165E
IP Deskphone selects a line, and you hear a
dial tone. This is also referred to as Off-
hook.
This is also referred to as On-hook.
Press the
Mute
key to listen to the receiving
party without transmitting.
Press the
Mute
key again to return to two-
way conversation.
Use the Volume buttons to increase or
decrease the volume of the headset.
The backlight illuminates when you connect
your headset to the Avaya 1165E IP
Deskphone.
