This section describes how to remove and install a CPU.

Removing a CPU

To remove a CPU:
1.
Prepare the computer for servicing by following the
CAUTION:

Remove the access panel (see

Raise the CPU socket lever (1) and open the cover (2) as shown in the following figure (fan
assembly not shown).
