The following settings are only necessary
when your PABX requires them, see the
PABX User Guide. Make the settings with
your Gigaset S44 handset.
You cannot send or receive text messages
on PABX's that do not support Calling Line
Identification.

Dialling modes and recall

The current setting is indicated by ‰.
Changing the dialling procedure
The following dialling procedures can be
selected:

Tone dialling (DTMF),

DTMF earth (country-specific),
u
Pulse dialling (DP).

e.g. "0".

If an access code is saved, the following
applies:
u
The access code is prefixed automati-
cally when you select from the follow-
ing lists: numbers of the SMS centres,
calls list, answering machine list.
u
The access code must be entered when
dialling manually and when manually
entering directory, emergency/direct
call numbers and numbers of the SMS
centres.
u
When you take the number of the
receiver for sending a text message
from the directory you have to delete
the access code.
u
You select an existing access code with
X. To insert a pause or a flash, press
