Playing messages
The date and time of each message is
logged, provided these items have been
set, page 9. If Calling Line Identification is
activated, then the caller's number is dis-
played. The caller's name is displayed if his
number is logged in the directory.
Listening to new messages
New messages you have not yet heard are
indicated by the symbol à in the display
and by flashing of the f key on the
handset. The ö key flashes on the base
station.
If only one mailbox is activated:

Press the message key.

The playback begins immediately with the

Operating the answering machine
Mark message as "new"
An "old" message you have already lis-
tened to is displayed as a "new" message.
During message playback:

Open the menu.
Mark as New
Select and press
Playback of the current message is
aborted. Playback of the following mes-
sage may begin.
The key f on the handset flashes.
Adding the telephone number of a
message to the directory

Deleting messages
You can delete old messages either all
together or individually. If you have acti-
vated several mailboxes, only the mes-
sages of the currently selected mailbox
are selected.
Deleting all old messages
During playback or pause:

Deleting a single old message
During playback or pause:
Press the display key.

Picking up a call from the
answering machine
You can pick up the call on the handset or
on the base station while the answering
machine is recording a call or being oper-
ated by remote control:
c / d Press the call or handsfree key.
Recording stops and you can speak to the
caller.
