Possible Cause
The ringer is switched off.
Call Diversion is set to All Calls.
You have changed the telephone
cord on your Gigaset.
There are no metering pulses.
The charge per unit is set to
"00.00".
You have pressed the INT key.
This mutes the handset.
Calling line identification is not
enabled.
The action has failed or the input
is incorrect.
Your phone system is set for
pulse dialling.
Date/time are not set.
The entered system PIN is incor-
rect or still set to 0000.
Its memory is full.
You are too far away from the
handset.
The noise level in the room is too
high.
Possible solution
Switch on the ringer in the
handset (page 88) or base C
250.
Switch off Call Diversion
(page 25).
When purchasing a new cord
ensure that it has the correct
pin connections (page 8).
Ask your network provider to
transmit the metering pulses.
Set the charge per unit
(page 48).
Switch on the microphone
again (page 22).
The caller should ask his net-
work provider to enable the
identification of his number
(CLI).
Repeat the procedure; watch
the display and if necessary
refer to the operating instruc-
tions.
Set your phone system to tone
dialling (page 100).
Set the date/time (page 15).
Enter the system PIN again or
set a PIN that is different from
0000 (page 94).
Delete old messages
Play back new messages and
delete.
The handset should be around
20 cm (8 inches) away from
you.
Record your voice pattern in
quieter surroundings.
