Entering Password, Name, Fax Number
and Line Type
You can place your name and your fax number in the header of your fax.
The header is the first line printed at the top of the paper of the receiving
fax machine. Determine the position of the header using the software
switches. (Cf. section "Programming User Software Switches".)
You may need the password later for functions such as protected polling.
The password is factory-set to "0000" = off. The password is comparable
to the PIN-code on a credit card.
Setting the line type determines how your fax machine obtains an outside
line when it operates in a PBX system. The following procedure describes
how to set your password, your name, your fax number and your line type.

Press [MENU] 8 times.

Press [SET].

If desired, enter 4 digits (e.g. 1234).

Press [SET].

Enter your name or the name of you
company (up to 24 digits).

Enter your fax number (up to 20 digits)
