Location

Avoid direct exposure to sunlight and place the machine away from
heaters.
Avoid humid or dusty locations.
Place the machine on a flat, non-vibrating surface.
Keep the machine away from magnetic fields (TV sets, radios).
Avoid locations close to ventilation openings, air conditioners and
heaters.
The machine should be easily accessible from all sides.
Keep the paper exit area large, even and big enough for the sheets.
Keep all covers closed when the machine is in standby. If any cover is
opened no transmission or reception is possible. If any cover is opened
during sending or receiving the procedure is interrupted.
Avoid extreme fluctuations in temperature, which could lead the
humidity inside the machine to condense causing problems reading the
documents.
Best use a completely separate power socket. Avoid kinks in the power
cable. Make sure the cable is not damaged by sharp edges.
Make sure no liquids enter the machine.
If liquid enters the machine, immediately unplug the power cable and
inform the technical service before you start the machine again.
