An End Cover is provided with the CPU Unit. Always install this End Cover on
the rightmost Unit in the PLC. The CJ-series PLC will not operate properly if
the End Cover is not installed.
• Always turn OFF the PLC's power supply before connecting or discon-
necting wiring to the Unit.
• To avoid problems with noise, route the I/O wiring in a separate duct or
conduit that does not carry any high-voltage lines or power lines.
• Leave the protective label in place during wiring to prevent stray wire
strands from falling into the Unit during wiring. After wiring is completed,
remove the protective label so that air can flow through the Unit and pro-
vide proper cooling.

The terminal block can be removed by pressing down on the lever at the bot-
tom of the terminal block. Always confirm that this lever is up in the locked
position before starting operation.
Remove the protective label
after wiring is completed.
