Problem
Sound played on the DVD receiver cannot be
recorded with an external recorder
Sounds played on the AV equipment connected to
the DVD receiver cannot be recorded with
external recording equipment
The volume does not increase or sounds are
distorted
There is no sound from the subwoofer
"SPEAKER ERR" appears in the display panel
Radio reception is poor
The remote control does not function properly

Unable to play DivX

The DVD receiver does not work
The USB device cannot be recognized
Use proper audio sources.
Connect those equipment to the DVD receiver with analog connections.
Turn on the power of the component connected to the DVD receiver.
Make sure the subwoofer is connected correctly.
Adjust the volume level in the setup menu.
Press SURROUND button to select a correct surround sound setting.
Make sure the source you are playing is recorded or broadcast in surround
sound (DTS, Dolby Digital, etc.).
Unplug the subwoofer, then make sure the front speakers are connected
correctly.
Set the DVD receiver to the standby mode, then disconnect the power cord.
Wait for about 30 seconds, then reconnect the power cord and turn on the DVD
receiver.
If the signal is too weak, adjust the antenna or connect an external antenna for
better reception.
Increase the distance between the receiver and your TV or VCR.
Tune in to the correct frequency.
Place the antenna farther away from any equipment that may be causing the
noise.
Select the source (DVD/CD or TUNER, for example) before pressing the
function button (h, b / a).
Reduce the distance between the remote control and the receiver.
Replace the batteries with new ones.
Point the remote control directly toward the remote control sensor.
Check that the batteries are loaded correctly.
Check that the DivX
®
file was encoded in 'Home Theater' mode with a DivX
5.x encoder.
Disconnect the power cord from the power outlet for a few minutes. Reconnect
the power cord and try to operate again as usual.
Check that the USB device is connected correctly.
Some devices may not work even if they are USB mass storage class devices.
Set the DVD receiver to the standby mode, and then turn it on again.
Disconnect the device when the DVD receiver is in the standby mode, then
connect it again and turn on the DVD receiver.
Connect the AC adapter if the adapter is supplied with the device.
If a message saying that the device is not supported appears on the TV screen,
check whether the device is supported by the DVD receiver (see "Supported
USB devices" on page 31).
If a message saying that the device is not supported (because USB current
protection is active) appears on the TV screen, the device is not playable with
the DVD receiver (see page 31).
