Recording the Moment of Impact in Slow Motion
(Slow motion impact)
Use the procedure below to record a slow motion movie of the moment that the golf
club head impacts the ball. When you record with this BEST SHOT scene, the
camera automatically trims the beginning and end.
NOTE
• The following camera settings are fixed when you shoot with this function:
Movie Quality: HS1000, Focus Mode: Pan focus.

In the BEST SHOT mode, select "Slow motion impact" (page 83).

Configure the camera settings below.
• "Lefty" (page 162): "Off" when shooting a right-handed golfer, "On" when
shooting a left-handed golfer.
Selecting the "Lefty" setting that does not match the golfer you are shooting will
result in incorrect trimming of the movie.
• "Shooting Info" "Grid" setting (page 123): On

Perform the operation required for the type of image you want to shoot.
• "Self-shooting with the Handsfree Mode" (page 158).
• "Self-shooting with the Self-timer" (page 159).
• "To shoot normally" (page 160)
. To record the moment of impact with the Handsfree Mode

Tilt the camera's monitor screen
upwards 180 degrees.
This will cause the
icon) to appear on the monitor screen,
which indicates the Handsfree Mode.
• If the camera does not enter the
Handsfree Mode at this time, change
its "Handsfree" setting to "Always" or
"180° only".
• Note that the camera also will not
enter the Handsfree Mode if the self-
timer is operating. Make sure the self-timer setting is "Off" when you want to
use the Handsfree Mode.
• You can specify the amount of time that should elapse before recording starts
after the camera detects movement. See page 65 for information about how to
change the setting.
