This section describes basic operation of the 76CS
Plus in any of the usage modes. Once you learn how
to perform basic tasks, such as finding an item, you
can then use the unit in any mode.

Finding an Item

Use the Find Menu to search for locations in
several default categories: Waypoints, Cit-
ies, Exits, and Marine Tide Stations. Ad-
ditional categories are displayed if optional

To open the Find Menu use one of the
following methods:
Press the NAV key, highlight Go To Point, and
press ENTER.
Press MENU twice to open the Main Menu.
Highlight Find and press ENTER.

Tips about Finding Items

• By default, the search results list contains only
those items near your current location or the
map arrow (if active).
• Use the Recent Finds category, which contains
a list of the 50 last found items, to easily and
quickly open items you have recently found.
• Once you have found the
item you are looking for,
highlight the item in the
results list and press EN-
TER to open the item's
information page. You can
view the item on the map,
go to the item, or save the
item as a waypoint.
