The Main Menu features some additional pages that
will be useful to you as you plan trips and use your
76CS Plus. Some of these pages have already been
discussed in-depth in previous sections. This section
only contains the additional pages and features found
in the Main Menu that have not been discussed yet.
Press the MENU key twice to open the Main Menu.
To view a particular page, highlight the page's icon
and press ENTER.

Using the Altimeter

Your 76CS Plus contains a barometer that
determines the ambient air pressure, or the
pressure around you. Once a pressure reading
has been obtained, you need to calibrate the
barometric altimeter.
Refer to page 7 to learn how to calibrate your altim-
eter. For more information about using the Altim-
eter, refer to the FAQ section of the Garmin Web site:
http://www.garmin.com/support/faqs/.
The Altimeter page provides you with a variety of
elevation and pressure information. You must have
an active track log to see the elevation profile. If you
have cleared your track log, you will not be able to
view your elevation profile. To clear the plot and start
again, you must clear the Track Log.
