    When you want to meet with people who are geographically separated, video conferencing gives you a greater sense of immediacy than a conventional telephone conference call. The Polycom CX5000 is a next generation video conferencing system that provides a comprehensive conferencing experience through the use of 360 degree video and active speaker detection.

(This screen also displays the previously discussed status indicators.) From left to right and top to bottom, the icons represent audio subsystem diagnostics, video subsystem diagnostics, systems diagnostics, and network subsystem diagnostics.

    Connecting the Polycom CX5000 Device to the Computer To configure and manage the Polycom CX5000 device using CX5000Manage.exe, plug the Polycom CX5000 device's USB cable into an available USB port on the computer (Figure 5). USB 2.0 is required. Figure 5.
