    REMOVING PACKING MATERIALS Check your range to insure all packaging materials and protective tape covering are removed from areas such as the door trim, cooktop frame, under burner caps, end caps, etc. before using.

    If you pull the range out from the wall for any reason, make sure the device is properly engaged when you push the range back against the wall. If it is not, there is a possible risk of the range tipping over and causing injury if you or a child stand, sit or lean on an open door.
  • Page 5 Be sure your range is correctly adjusted by a qualified service technician or installer for the type of gas (natural or LP) that is to be used.
  • Page 6: Surface Burners

    This will both save cleaning time and prevent hazardous accumulations of food, since heavy spattering or spillovers left on range can ignite. Use pans with handles that can be easily grasped and remain cool.

    Trim excess fat to prevent excessive flare-ups. After broiling, always take the broiler pan out of the range and clean it. Leftover grease in the broiler pan can catch fire next time you use the pan.

    WARNING! L.P. CONVERSION Your range is shipped from the factory set to operate only with Natural Gas. If you wish to use your range with Liquefied Petroleum Gas, have the installer check the Installation Instructions that came with your range.

    OFF when you finish cooking. In case of a power failure, you can light the surface burners on your range with a match. Hold a lit match to the burner, then push in and turn the control knob to the LITE position. Use extreme caution when lighting burners this way.

    Using the oven controls. Throughout this manual, features and appearance may vary from your model. Oven Control, Clock and Timer Features and Settings BAKE Pad Press this pad to select the bake function. BROIL HI/LO Pad Press this pad to select the broil function. Display Shows the time of day and the time set for the timer.
  • Page 11 Special features of your oven control (cont.). Your new touch pad control has additional features that you may choose to use. The following are the features and how you may activate them. The special feature modes can only be activated while the display is showing the time of day clock. They remain in the control’s memory until the steps are repeated.
  • Page 12 Special features of your oven control (cont.). Tones at the End of a Timed Cycle At the end of a timed cycle, 3 short beeps will sound followed by one beep every 6 seconds until the CLEAR/OFF pad is pressed. This continuous 6 second beep may be canceled.
  • Page 13 Cook and Hold Your new control has a cook and hold feature that keeps cooked foods warm for up to 3 hours after the cooking function is finished. To activate this feature, follow the steps below. Press the BAKE and BROIL HI/LO pads at the same time for 3 seconds until the display shows SF.

    Oven Vent Your oven is vented through ducts at the rear of the range. Do not block these ducts when cooking in the oven—it is important that the flow of hot air from the oven and fresh air to the oven burner be uninterrupted.

NOTE: A cooling fan may automatically turn on and off to cool internal parts. This is normal, and the fan may continue to run even after the oven is turned off.

    The low temperature zone of this range (between 170°F. and 200°F.) is available to keep hot cooked foods warm. Food kept in the oven longer than 2 hours at these low temperatures may spoil.

    Adjust the oven thermostat—Do it yourself! You may find that your new oven cooks differently than the one it replaced. Use your new oven for a few weeks to become more familiar with it. If you still think your new oven is too hot or too cold, you can adjust the thermostat yourself.
