2b For device without SMS function: You can also
enter letters using the number keys (a maximum of 32
characters). Press a number key as often as necessary
to enter the desired letter, e. g. for C press 2 three
times. After pressing > the cursor moves one place to
the right. Th e following letters and special characters

"Your name" and "your telephone number" are trans-
mitted at the top of each page together with the date,
time and page number, if you store this data with func-
tion 13 and 14.
Correction
Pressing C briefl y will return you to the previous menu
level; holding C pressed (two seconds) will leave the
menu.
If you have entered a wrong letter or number in function
13 or 14 you can correct the mistake during the entering
as well as later. If you want to make your corrections later
you have to select the functions for entering numbers or
names once again. If you want to correct anything at a
later stage you need to call up the function again on your
fax machine to enter the number or name.
Use u to select the character you want to change.
Press C to delete the character. A long press on C (two
seconds) will delete the whole line. Press OK.

Display language
for the fax machine
1 Select function 11 by pressing MENU, 11 and
OK on your fax machine.
2 Select the desired language with u.
3 Press OK.
Th e cordless telephone automatically takes over the set-
ting you have confi gured on the fax machine.
for the cordless telephone
Upon the initial installation of the fax machine or use
of function 11, the display language of the cordless tel-
ephone is taken from the fax machine. Th is function only
allows you to change the display language of the cordless
telephone.
1 On the cordless telephone, use / and OK to select
SETTINGS / LANGUAGE. and confi rm with OK.
2 Press •R (Edit) and use / to select the desired
language.
3 Confi rm with OK.
If you change the language on the fax machine (func-
tion 11), the language on the cordless telephone will
also be changed.
Ring tone type
for the fax machine
You can choose from ten diff erent types of tones.
1 Select function 35 by pressing MENU, 35 and
OK on the fax machine.
2 Select the desired ring tone with 0 to 9.
3 Press OK.
