Using the Self-timer
Tile camera is equipped with a sel_timer that releases the shutter ten seconds or two
seconds after you press the shutter release button. The self-timer is useful when you want to
be in the image you are taking, and when you want to avoid the effects of camera shake that
occur when you press the shutter-release button. When using the self timer, use of a tripod is
recommended. Set Vibration reduction to Off in the setup menu (_gS) when using a
tripod to stabilize the camera during shooting.

Press • or • to choose _Q)lOs or _Q)2s and
press the I_) button.
• _.)lOs (ten seconds): Use on important occasions, such as
weddings
• _.)2s (two seconds): Use to prevent camera shake
• Ifa setting is not applied by pressing the_) button within
a few seconds, the selection will be canceled.
• When the shooting mode is set to Pet portrait scene
mode, [_ (Pet portrait auto release) is displayed (_46). The self timer settings _ 10s and
_2s cannot be used.
