a Description
of Each Scene Mode (Help Display)
Choose the desired
scene type from the scene selection
screen and
rotate the zoom control
(_3)
to T (_)
to view a description
of
that scene. To return to the original
screen, rotate the zoom control
to T (_)
again,

• When you point the camera
at the subject,
the camera
automatically
selects the optimum
scene mode
from the list below
and adjusts the shooting
settings
accordingly.

scenes
• The area of the frame that the camera
focuses on (AF area) depends
on the composition
of the
image. When the camera
detects
a human
face, it focuses
on that face (_68).

selects

landscape),
flash mode
is fixed at (_1 (off), regardless
of the

setting
made, and the camera
captures
one image
at a slower
shutter
speed.

• Depending
upon
shooting
conditions,
the camera
may not select the desired
scene mode.
Should
this occur,
switch to It_
(auto) mode (_26)
or select the desired
scene mode
manually
(_40).
• Digital zoom
is notavailable,

• The camera

• If no faces are detected,
the camera
focuses on the subject
at the center
of the frame.
