Cleaning the Shuttle Race and Feed Dogs
[] Unplug the machine and remove the presser foot and
needle. Remove the screw on the left side of the needle
plate with a screwdriver. Remove the needle plate_)
and take out the bobbin.

[] Lift up the bobbin holder(_) and remove it.

[] Brush out dust and lint inside the bobbin holder. Clean
the feed dogs ® and hook race _)with a lint brush. Wipe
out gently with a soft, dry cloth.

[] Line up the triangle marks @ and position the bobbin
holder so that the notch fits next to the stopper(_ in the
hook race.

Oiling
the Machine
Open the face cover and oil the two points as shown at
least once a year. One or two drops of oil is sufficient.
Remove excess oil, otherwise it may stain fabrics. In case
the machine is not used for an extended period, oil it before
sewing. Use quality sewing machine oil.
