NOTE
The header isa heavily reinforced section of the walljust
above the top ot the garage door opening.
A Findverticalcenterlineof door and header:
• Close door.
• Measure door width at top.
• Marka point at centerof door and on headerdirectly
abovedoor. Drawa centerline to connectpoints.
B FindHeaderBracket m ounting height (Figure4): (Donot attach
HeaderBracket).
• Raise door,watchingtop edgeof door and stop door
when itsedge reaches its highestpoint.
• Measure distance("H")from top edgeof door to floor.
- Forsectionaldoors, a dd 1"to"H'f Marka point
on centerline. Bottomof HeaderBracket w ill be
installedhere.
- Forone-piecedoors,add 7"to"H'; Markthis pointon
centerline. Bottomof HeaderBracketwill be
installedhere.

• If locationisaboveHeader, a 2"x 6" boardmust be
screwed to studsbesideyour markwith at leasttwo Lag
Screws and FlatWashers (not provided).
• Transfer y our markto new mounting board.
Checkceilingor spaceabovewhereOpenerPowerHeadwill be
mounted (Figure5):

or wiring box within 3 feet of
Power Head.
