Locate the CLOSE FORCE a djustmentscrew(Figure1).

Use the remotecontrol to cyclethe door during
thesetests.
•
Startwith the door open.
•
Turnthecloseforceadjustmentscrew1/8-turnat a time
in the decrease direction until the door reverses midway
while closing.
•
Turnthecloseforceadjustment1/8-turn at a time in the
increase directionuntil the doorfully closes
without reversing.
NOTE
Verylight, wellbalanced doorsmaynot beableto be
adjusted using the above steps. If so,set the close
torce to minimum.

TESTTHE SAFETYREVERSE
Totestthe safetyreverse(Figure2).
•
Openthe garagedoor.
•
Laya 2"x 4" boardflat so it will be struckbythe centerof
the door asit closes.
•
Usingthe remotecontrol,closethe door.
-
Thedoor mustreverse within 2 seconds of hitting
the board.
•
If the door stopsbut doesnot reverse, the closeforce
mustbe decreased.
•
Repeat t his testuntil the door reverses asrequired.
