THE
DOOR STARTS TO CLOSE BUT
REVERSES BEFORE FULLY CLOSING

If the openerlight flashes4 times, t he closedoor forcesettingmay
be too low.
B
Thedoor hardwaremay be binding causingthe doorforce setting
to beexceeded. Disengage the carriageand manuallycheckthe door
movementand balance. L ubricate the door hardware asrecommended
bythe manufacturer.
C
TheSafe-T-Beam ®hasbeeninterruptedwhile the door isclosing
(openerlight flashes3 times),or the Safe-T-Beam ®isout of alignment.
A
It is normal for the lights to stay on for about 5 minutes
after being activated.
B
If the lights were turned on using the light button on the
wall control, they will stay on until they are turned off using
the wall control light button or the door is cycled open or
shut.
OPENER DOES NOT OPERATE
FROM THE WALL CONTROLr BUT
DOES FROM THE REMOTE

Check the wall control wiring at the wall control and
opener terminals.
B
Check the wiring between the wall control and the
opener. Look for any staples that have cut into the wire's
insulation or wire that has been pinched. If the opener light
flashes 2 times when the remote is used, the wall control
wires are shorted and the bad section must be replaced.
OPENER DOES NOT OPERATE
FROM THE REMOTEr BUT DOES
WITH THE WALL CONTROL

Be sure that the remote is programmed into the opener.
B
Check the remote's battery.The red light should light up
when ever the remote button is pressed.

If the openerlights flash5 timeswhenthe remoteis
activated, a nd the door doesnot open,the vacation
switch ison.Turnthevacationswitchoff
(optionalaccessory).
REMOTECONTROLWILL NOT
OPERATE AT A DISTANCEFROM
THE OPENER.

Besurethat the opener'santenna(theshort white wireon the
backof theopener)isextendedupwardfrom the opener.
B
Check the remote's battery.
C
Remote control operatingdistancewill varydependingon the
amount of interference and metalobstacles in the pathof the signal.

Examine all remotesprogrammedintothe opener.Checkfor
itemsthat might be pressing on a remotebutton.Lookfor remotes
stuffed betweenseatcushionsof the car.

If a remotehasbeenlost or stolen,erase the opener'smemory
to preventthe missingremotefrom activatingthe opener.
Reprogram the remainingremotesinto the opener.
C
Check the wiring betweenthe wallcontrol andthe opener. L ook
for staplesthat havecut into the wire'sinsulation, o r wirethat has
beenpinchedbya object.Replace any badwire.

Examine the wiring at the opener's terminalsand the wall
control terminals. L ookfor anywiresthat arecloseto or touching
adjacentterminals.

Lubricate the door hardwareasrecommended bythe garage
door manufacturer.
THE OPENER WILL NOT OPERATE
BECAUSE OF A POWERFAILURE
Pullthe carriagerelease handleto disengage the openerfrom
the door.Thedoorcan beoperatedmanuallyuntil powerisrestored.
