STEP 1 Program the Travel
Withouta properly installedsafetyreversalsystem, p ersons(particularlysmallchildren)couldbe
SERIOUSLYINJURED or KILLEDbya closinggaragedoor.
• Incorrect a djustmentofgarage door travellimitswillinterferewithproperoperation ofsafety
reversalsystem.
• AfterANYadjustments are made,the safetyreversal s ystemMUSTbe tested.Door MUSTreverse
on contact w ith1-1/2"(3.8 cm)high object(or2x4 laidflat)on floor.
1. Pressand hold the Adjustment B utton untilthe UPButtonbeginsto flashand/ora beep is
heard.
2. Pressand hold the UPButton untilthedoor is inthedesired UP position.NOTE: TheUPand
DOWNButtonscan be used to movethe door up and downasneeded.
3. Oncethe door is inthe desiredUP positionpressand releasethe Adjustment B utton.The
garagedoor openerlightswill flashtwiceandthe DOWNButtonwill beginto flash.
4. Pressand hold the DOWNButton untilthe door is inthe desiredDOWNposition.NOTE:The
UPandDOWNButtonscan be used tomove thedoor up and downasneeded.
5. Oncethe door is inthe desiredDOWNpositionpressand releasethe AdjustmentButton.The
garagedoor openerlightswill flashtwiceandthe UP Buttonwillbegin to flash.
6. Pressand releasethe UPButton.Whenthe door travelsto theprogrammedUPposition,the
DOWNButtonwillbegin to flash.
7. Pressand releasethe DOWNButton.The door willtravelto the programmedDOWNposition.
Programmingis complete.
* Ifthe garagedoor opener lightsare flashing5 timesduringthe stepsfor Programthe Travel,the
programminghas timed out.Ifthe garagedoor opener lightsare flashing 10timesduringthe stepsfor
ProgramtheTravel,the safetyreversingsensorsare misalignedor obstructed(referto page28). When
thesensorsare alignedand unobstructed, c yclethedoor through a completeup anddown cycleusing
the remotecontrolor theUP and DOWNbuttons.Programmingis complete. I fyou are unableto operate
thedoor upand down,repeatthe stepsfor Programming the Travel.
