Using your Garage Door Opener
The garage door openercan be activatedthrougha wall-mounted door control,remotecontrol,wireless
keylessentryor MyQ ® accessory.
Whenthe door is closedand thegarage door opener isactivatedthe door will open.Ifthedoor senses
anobstructionor is interruptedwhile openingthe door willstop.When the door is inany positionother
than closedand thegarage door opener isactivatedthe door will close.Ifthegarage door opener
sensesan obstructionwhile closing,the door willreverse.Ifthe obstructioninterruptsthesensorbeam
the garage door openerlightswillblink 10times.However,you can closethe door ifyou hold the button
onthe door controlor keylessentryuntilthe door is fullyclosed.The safetyreversingsensorsdo not
affecttheopening cycle.
The safetyreversingsensormustbe connectedand alignedcorrectlybeforethe garagedoor opener will
moveinthe downdirection.
Using the Motion Detecting Control Panel
To synchronizethe door controlto the garagedoor opener,pressthe push bar untilthe garagedoor
openeractivates(itmaytake up to 3 presses).Testthe door controlby pressing the push bar, eachpress
ofthe pushbar willactivatethe garage door opener.

Pressthe push bar to openor closethe door.
LIGHTS
Light Button
Pressthe LIGHTbuttontoturn the garagedoor opener lightson or off.Whenthe lightsare turned on
they willstayon untilthe LIGHT buttonis pressedagain,or untilthe garagedoor opener is activated.
Oncethe garage door opener isactivatedthe lightswill turn offafterthespecifiedperiodoftime (the
factorysettingis 4-1/2 minutes). T he LIGHTbuttonwill notcontrolthe lightswhenthe door is in motion.
To changethe amount of time the garage door opener lightswill stay on:
Pressand hold the LOCK button(approximately10seconds)untilthe garage door openerlightsflash.
The time intervalis indicatedbythe numbertimesthe garagedoor opener flashes:
• 1flash is1-1/2 minutes
• 2 flashes is 2-1/2minutes
• 3 flashes is 3-1/2minutes
• 4 flashes is 4-1/2minutes
To cyclethroughthetime intervalsrepeatthe stepabove.
Light Feature
The lightswillturn on whensomeoneentersthroughthe opengarage door andthe safetyreversing
sensor infraredbeamis broken.
• Deactivate: Pressand hold the LIGHTbutton(approximately 10 seconds)untilthe garage
door openerlightsturnon,then offagain.
• Activate: Startwiththe garage door openerlightson.Pressand hold the LIGHTbutton
(approximately 10 seconds)untilthe garagedoor opener lightstum off,then on again.
Ifthe commandLEDis continuouslyblinking,the LOCKfeatureneedsto be deactivated.
