STEP 6 Install the light bulbs
STEP 7 Attachthe emergency release rope and handle
To preventpossibleOVERHEATING of theend panel or lightsocket:
•
UseONLYA19 incandescent(100Wmaximum) o r compactfluorescent (26W maximum) l ight
bulbs.
•
DO NOTuse incandescent b ulbs largerthan 100W.
•
DO NOTusecempactfluorescent l ightbulbs largerthan 26W(100W)equivalent.
•
DO NOTusehalogen bulbs.
•
DO NOTuseshortneckor specialtylightbulbs.
1. Pull onthe top sidesof the lightlensand rotatethe light lensdown.
2. Insertan A19 incandescent(100Wmaximum) o r compact f luorescent(26W,100Wequivalent)
lightbulb into thelight socket.
3. Rotatethe lensup to close.
NOTE: Do not usa halogen,shortneck,or specialtylightbulbsas thesemayoverheat theendpanel or
light socket.Donot usa LEDbulbsas theymay reducethe range or pefformanceofyourremotecontrols.
To preventpossibleSERIOUSINJURYor DEATHfrom a falling garagedoor:
•
Ifpossible,use emergencyreleasehandle to disengagetrolleyONLY whengaragedoor is
CLOSED.Weakor brokenspringsor unbalanceddoor couldresultin an opendoor falling rapidly
and/or unexpectedly.
•
NEVERuse emergencyreleasehandle unlessgarage doorwayis clear ofpersonsand
obstructions.
•
NEVERuse handleto pull door openor closed.Ifrope knotbecomesuntied,you couldfall.
1. Insertone end ofthe emergencyreleaseropethroughthe handle. Makesurethat"NOTICE" is
rightside up.Tie a knotat least 1inch (2.5 cm)from theend of theemergencyrelease rope.
2. Inserttheother end ofthe emergencyreleaserope throughthe hole inthe trolleyreleasearm.
Mountthe emergencyreleasewithinreach,but at least6feet (1.83m) abovefloor, avoiding
centact w ithvehiclesto preventaccidentalreleaseand securewitha knot.
NOTE: flit is necessaryto cuttheemergencyreleaserope,seal thecutend witha matchor lighter to
preventunraveling.Ensure theemergencyreleaserope and handle are above thetopof all vehiclesto
avoidentanglement.
