4.7 When An Error Message Appears
Meaning and Solution
The system settings stored in the NV memory is
corrupted.
Solution
Follow the procedure below to initialise NV
memory:
Press Set/Eject.
When "Ready to Init?" message appear, use
to select Yes.
Press Set/Eject.
Printer settings may disappear once the NV
memory is initialised.
Print the Printer Settings List and the Panel
Settings List to check the settings.

Hard disk is full during electronic collation and no data
can be written.
Solution
Press Set/Eject and the print job is deleted. Use
the following methods to re-send the printing:
• Divide the pages and print in small amount.
• De-select the hard disk setting in the driver, and
then send the print job.

xxxx (media type) is not loaded on the manual tray, or a
size different from that specified in the printer driver is
loaded.
Solution
Load xxxx (media type) in the manual tray. If a
wrong size is specified on the computer, stop the
printing. Make sure that the paper size setting is
correct on the computer, and try again.
