Loading
z Load the vehicle evenly, distributing the
load across the body.
z Secure any solid loads with additional
lashing equipment. See page 111.
z Place loads onto the dropside body from
the minimum practicable height. Do not
drop loads onto the body floor.
z Do not overload the dropside body.

Observe the national regulations on securing
loads.
Dropside body
z Ensure the load will not fall out or
endanger other road users.
z Do not leave load deposits on public
roads or footpaths.
z Do not drive with the tailboard or
sideboards down.
z The gross vehicle weight and gross
combined weight can be found on the
vehicle identification plate
located on the right hand door pillar -
see page 161.
