27 Check the Database file is a master template box.
28 Right-click and select Paste, in the Template Name field. The name of the
organization's current mail template should now appear.
29 Close the dialog window.

Manual install

To use the manual procedure below, the administrator should be familiar with the Notes
Designer client.
Note: The databases must be signed as was previously explained in Section 6.1 of this
chapter.
Step Action
1 Copy the organization's current mail template into the \Lotus\Domino\Data\Fax
directory, calling it MailFaxTemplate.ntf.
Start the Lotus Notes client Designer by clicking Start > Programs > Lotus Applications

> Lotus Domino Designer.
3 Click on Open an existing database.
4 In the Open Database dialog window that appears, select the Lotus Notes server, in the
Server field.
5 Double-click on the Fax folder.
6 Double-click on Mail-Fax Template. A tab opens, showing the contents of the
database.
7 Click again on Open an existing database.
From the Server field found in the appearing Open Database dialog window, select the

Lotus Notes server.
9 Double-click on the Fax folder.
10 Double-click on Fax Memo Install; another tab opens, showing the contents of the
database.
11 In the window for this tab, right-click the FaxForm entry and select Copy.
12 Click on the Mail-Fax Template Conception tab, right-click anywhere in the window and
select Paste. The design elements copied from one database to the other are:
Note: Sub-forms are a shared design resource that can be inserted into forms by
formula or permanently. Sub-forms are just like forms and usually contain a set of
common fields or actions that can be reused in other forms.
