Factory Reset
This function initializes the recorder to factory default settings.
1. Press the menu button, and in the menu list (MENU) screen, use the
controller buttons to select and confirm "SYSTEM."
The system setting (SYSTEM) screen will appear.
2. Use the controller buttons to select and confirm "Factory Reset."
A dialog message of "Parameters will be reset. Are you sure?" will
appear in the screen.
3. Use the controller buttons to select and confirm "Yes."
The screen will indicate "Working...", and when resetting is finished
the indication will change to "Completed."
If you decide not to factory reset, use the controller buttons to select
and confirm "No" (or press the menu button); you will return to the
system setting (SYSTEM) screen.
4. Press the Confirmation button (or press the menu button) to return to
the system setting (SYSTEM) screen.
SD Format (Formatting a memory card)
Here is how to format a memory card inserted in the recorder's card slot.
You should perform this operation only if you want to erase all of the data
saved on the memory card, or if the message "CardError." appears fre‐
quently.
All projects/files inside the Recording and Playback folders and play list file
inside the Playlist folder on the memory card will be erased when you exe‐
cute this operation (refer to "Memory card structure and files" on page 47).
Before executing this operation, you should make a backup of any data you
want to keep (refer to "Using the MR‐2 with your computer" on page 45).
