Ths compe�sates the sttch by a half of the predeterm�ed
sttch le�gth.
Note, however, that the mach�e does �ot ru� co�t�uously
at a low speed eve� f you keep the swtch held pressed.
Also, �ote that the �eedle up/dow� compe�sato� swtch s
�operatve after tur��g the ha�dwheel by ha�d.

oF tHE MatErIaL EDGE SENSor
• Whe� materal edge se�sor 1 s pressed, ON/OFF of the materal edge
se�sor s cha�ged over.
• Whe� the materal edge se�sor, whch s opto�ally avalable, s
co��ected to the operato� pa�el, the ON/OFF swtch of the materal
edge se�sor becomes effectve.
• �f the materal edge se�sor s specfed, the sew�g mach�e wll
automatcally stop ru���g or perform thread trmm�g whe� the se�sor
detects the materal edge.
If the material edge sensor is used in combination with the opera-
tion panel, carefully read the Instruction Manual for the material
edge sensor beforehand.
• Whe� automatc thread trmm�g swtch 1 s pressed, ON/OFF of the
automatc thread trmm�g s cha�ged over.
• Ths swtch s re�dered effectve, whe� the materal e�d se�sor s tur�ed
ON for the reverse feed sttch�g patter�, to automatcally actvate the
thread trmmer upo� detecto� of the materal e�d.
(f the automatc reverse sttch�g (for e�d) s specfed, the thread
trmmer wll actuate after the sew�g mach�e completes the automatc
reverse sttch�g (for e�d).)
• Whe� o�e-shot automatc sttch�g swtch 1 s pressed, ON/OFF of the
o�e-shot automatc sttch�g s cha�ged over.
• Ths swtch s used, � the co�sta�t-dme�so� sttch�g mode, recta�gular
sttch�g mode, or � the process where the materal edge se�sor s
specified, to make the sewing machine automatically perform sewing at
the specified speed until the end of the process is reached only by driving
the sew�g mach�e o�ce.
