6-10. Position of the wiper

To protect against possible personal injury due to abrupt start of the machine, be sure to start the
following work after turning the power off and ascertaining that the motor is at rest.

) Adjust engraved marker dot 1 on the machne arm to whte marker dot 2 on the handwheel.
2) Move rod 3 n the drecton of the arrow, and adjust wth two clampng screws 5 so that the clearance
between the top end of needle and wper 4 s approxmately 2 mm.

Be careful that screw A does not protrude n the
rear of the bed slide when fixing the attachment to
the bed slde wth the screw.
When it protrudes as shown in the figure,
the screw interferes with other compo-
nents and break-down will be caused.
