3) If the needle-to-hook relaton s dfferent from the afore-mentoned standard adjustment, remove needle
clamp screw 2 and turn needle clamp 1 by one revoluton (the extent of adjustment : 0.6�mm).
The needle-to-hook relaton can also be adjusted by removng screw 4 from the sprng shoe and turnng
sprng shoe 3 by a half revolu ton (the extent of adjustment : 0.3mm).
[Adjusting procedure for DP X 17(135x17) needle]
When replacng the needle wth �P X 7(35x7), replace needle clamp 1 . (Needle clamp for �P X
7(35x7) s an optonal part.) Use the same engraved marker lne of the needle bar for �Px5(34). Adjust-
ng procedure s the same as that of �Px5(34).

• Adjust the needle and the hook as follows.

• Determine the position of the hook.
) Loosen three setscrews 1 n the screw gear
(small), and turn the handwheel to lft the needle
bar from ts lowest poston by 2.2 mm.

drvng shaft saddle 4 , and move hook drvng
shaft saddle 4 to the rght or left to adjust so
that a clearance of 0.0 to 0.05 mm s provded
between blade pont 2 of the hook and needle 3 .

Then tghten setscrews 5 .

tghten setscrews 1 n the screw gear (small).
