Oil In The Feed Box - JUKI LH-3500A series Instruction Manual

To use in safety, replace the oil wick of hook section with a new one approximately once a year
with the procedure below.

4-5. Oil in the feed box

) Loosen setscrews 2 (small hook : 2 places,
large hook : 3 places) and remove hook gb 1 .
2) Remove nner hook 3 .
3) Loosen ol plug 4 wth the L-shaped screwdrver
(Part No. : B90490000) and remove t.

4) �raw out ol wck 5 nserted nto ol plug 4 , and
replace t wth a new one.

When strongly pressing oil wick 5 , it may
be broken. Lightly insert it to such an
extent that it is not drawn out.
After the replacement, assemble ol plug 4 ,

nner hook 3 and hook gb 1 to the hook by
reversng the above procedure.
Perform confirming of oil splash.
When loosening/assembling, do not allow
the slit section of oil plug 4 to be burred.
When usng the sewng machne, make sure that the
oil is put in the feed box from oil confirming window 1 .
If you find abnormal discoloring of oil
or dust in the oil through the oil amount
indicating window, loosen the window to
drain oil and fill the oil tank with new oil.
