SET UP FOR USE
CHANNEL MEMORY PROGRAMMING
Use this feature to programthe rv/VCR tunerto scan and memorize all the channelsyou receive in
yourarea.
You can use this feature to memorize cable channelsonly if your cable system connectsdirectlyfrom
itswall outletto the Antenna terminalof your'rVNCR. You cannot usethis feature when the TV/VCR
is connectedto a cable or satellitebox.

Plug in the TVtVCR power cord ,,i '
Plug the TV/VCR power cord into a ,_, , j
standard AC outlet.
NOTE:
• If some digits appear in the corner of the
screen, press the POWER button to turn off the
set, and then press the POWER button again to
turn the set back on. This will reset the "IV back
to customer mode. Do not unplug the power
cord during this reset.
2 Turn on the TV/VCR
Press the POWER button to turn on the TV/VCR.
The channels you no longer receive or seldom
watch can be deleted from the memory. (Of
course, you can add the deleted channel into the
memory again.)

Begin auto preset ( -SETUP-
Press the PLAY or STOP [ _'_UAGE
button to point to "AUTO IE,GL_S_} ESP_O_
PRESET". BAUTO PRESET
Then press the F.FWD
button. The tuner scans and
memorizes all active channels in your area.
NOTES:
• The TV/VCR distinguishes between standard
TV channels and cable channels.
• If you want to play or record a video tape
BEFORE presetting the tuner, you must press
the MENU button on the remote control. To
preset the tuner again, see "CHANNEL SET UP
AGAIN" on page 14.
• If reception conditions are poor, the TVNCR
may recognize TV channels as CATV channels
or viceversa. If this occurs, try running the
AUTO PRESET again when reception
conditions are better.
5 After scanning
The tuner stops on the lowest memorized channel.
If you want to recall the selected channels, you
can select the desired channel directly with the
remote control number buttons or CHANNEL UP
or DOWN.

Enter the desired channel number

Delete (or add) it from (or into) memory
Press the IEF-'WD or REW button. The channel
number changes to light red.
The channel is deleted from memory.
If you press the F.FWD or REW button again, the
channel number changes to light blue. The
channel is added to memory again.
To delete another channel, repeat steps 3 and 4.
5 Exit the channel setup mode
Press the MENU button on the remote control to
return to TV mode.
NOTE: Press the CHANNEL UP or DOWN button
to confirm that channel(s) have been deleted or
added.
