1. Remove t he starknobs andcarriage screws from the lowerhandle. S ee

3. Position the uppershift leverinto averticalpositionaligningthe holesin the
leverwith the holesinthe shift plate.SeeFigure 6.

4. Tighten t heupper a ndlower s tarknobs a nd carriage s crews tosecure t he
upper h andle t othelower h andle, See Figure 4 .
5. The handle height canbeadjusted toanyofthree positions. For i nstructions,
refer t oHandle H eight intheMaintenance and Adjustments section o fthis
manual.
Attaching the Shift Lever
I. Remove t he screwandthe locknut thatsecures the shift leverto the shift
leverplate.SeeFigure 5.

Checking TirePressure
Maximumtire pressureunderany circumstances is30 psi.Equal t ire
pressureshouldbe maintained at all times.
Thereartireson yourunit maybeover-inflated for shipping purposes. Reduce the
tire pressure before operatingthe mower.Recommended operatingtire pressure i s
approximately 20p.s.i.Check the sidewall o f tire formaximump.s.i.
