  • Page 19 SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE Remove the air filter. See Figure 17. Remove the foam pre-filter from around the paper air filter. See Figure 18. Replace paper element when dirty or damaged. Clean foam element or replace when damaged. To clean foam element, wash in a mild liquid detergent and water. Squeeze or press the foam element to rinse out dirt and water.
  • Page 20 SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE Fuel Filter The fuel filter cannot be cleaned and should be replaced every 100 operating hours; Fuel Filter more often if run with old gasoline. Remove all fuel from tank by running engine until it stops from lack of fuel. Use pliers to squeeze tabs on the clamps, then slide the clamps away from Fuel Line the fuel filter.
  • Page 21 SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE Cleaning the Mower Any fuel or oil spilled on the machine should be wiped off promptly. Do NOT allow debris to accumulate around the cooling fins of the engine, the transmission’s cooling fan or on any other part of the machine, especially the belts and pulleys. Smart Jet Your mower’s deck is equipped with a water port on its surface as part of its deck wash system.
  • Page 22 SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE Adjustments WARNING Shut the engine off and remove the ignition key before making adjustments. Handle Height The upper handle is secured to two support bars that can be adjusted to raise or lower the handle height. Adjust if necessary as follows: Remove the upper star knob and carriage screw on the right side of the handle and the left side of the handle.

Para extraer la plataforma de corte, proceda de la siguiente manera: Para sacar la cubierta de la correa saque los tres tornillos y arandelas que la sujetan al bastidor.

Proteja sus manos utilizando guantes reforzados cuando sujete las cuchillas. ADVERTENCIA Inspeccione periódicamente la cuchilla y/o el husillo en busca de rajaduras o daños, especialmente después de golpear un objeto extraño.

De lo contrario podrían producirse lesiones personales. Para cambiar el escudo posterior proceda de la siguiente manera: Extraiga el tornillo que fija el escudo al lado derecho de la cortadora.     ALMACENAMIENTO FUERA DE TEMPORADA ADVERTENCIA Nunca almacene la cortadora de césped con combustible en el tanque en un espacio cerrado o en áreas con poca ventilación, donde los gases del combustible puedan alcanzar el fuego, chispas o una luz piloto como la que tienen algunos hornos, calentadores de agua, secadores de ropa o algún otro dispositivo a gas.
