Understanding Mounting
Hunter's patented mounting system provides you maximum
installation flexibility and ease. You can install your Hunter fan in
one of two ways, depending on your preference: Standard or Angled
mounting.
A standard downrod is provided
for installing your fan on a ceiling
8-9 feet high. Note: The decorative
scroll assembly will not fit on the
standard downrod.
If you want to install the fan on a ceiling 9 feet or higher, follow section
3 • Assembling the Fan for Ceilings 9 Feet or Higher on Page 6.
If you want to install on a ceiling 8-9 feet high, follow section
4 • Assembling the Fan for Ceilings 8-9 Feet High on Page 7.
Considering Optional Accessories
Consider using Hunter's optional accessories, including a wall-mounted
or remote speed control. To install and use the accessories, follow
the instructions included with each product. For quiet and optimum
performance of your Hunter fan, use only Hunter speed controls.
Installer's Choice and Optional Accessories
Angle Mounting is recommended for a
vaulted or angled ceiling.

For ceilings 9 feet or higher, an
extension downrod and decorative
scroll assembly are provided. The
decorative scroll cannot be added
to the fan when installing on ceilings
lower than 9 feet.
Your fan includes an extension
downrod, which should be used
only when installing the fan on a
ceiling 9 feet or higher. All Hunter
fans use sturdy 3/4" diameter pipe
to assure stability and wobble-free
performance.
