Quick On STBY
When you are going to record frequently for an extended time, use the Quick On STBY function.
In standby mode, closing the LCD screen starts the Quick On STBY mode to reduce energy
consumption. Once you are ready to record again, this function lets the camcorder come on
quickly from the power saving mode.
1. Touch the Menu (_) tab _ Other setting (_,_;_)

2. Touch the desired submenu item.
3. To exit the menu, touch the Return (_) tab.
• In the standby mode, closing the LCD screen will soon
execute the Quick On STBY mode, and then the camcorder
turns off after the selected time setting.
• Off : In the standby mode, closing the LCD screen turns offthe
camcorder.
• 5 Min : in the standby mode, closing the LCD screen starts the
Quick On STBY mode afler a short period of time. After 5 minutes in
Quick On STBY mode, the camcorder turns off.
• 10 Min : in the standby mode, dosing the LCD screen starts the
Quick On STBY mode after a short period of time. After 10 minutes
in Quick On STBY mode, the camcorder turns off.
• 20 Min : in the standby mode, dosing the LCD screen starts the
Quick On STBY mode after a short period of time. After 20 minutes
in Quick Ors STBY mode, the camcorder turns off.
• We recommend that you turn off your camcorder to reduce energy consumption when not
recording. However, you can effectively reduce energy consumption by using the Quick On STBY
function in situations where you are going to record frequently over an extended time and need the
camcorder to start up quickly.
• The mode indicator keeps blinking in the Quick Ors STBY mode.
• The Quick On STBY mode is not available under the following conditions:
When the LCD screen is open.
When you operate the buttons ors the camcorder.
