Solution
Make surebatteries a reinstalled correctly. If batteries a re
correctly i nstalled, r eplace witha setofnewbatteries.
Allwiresincable shouldbeintact.If anyarevisibly crimped or
cut,replace cable.
Makesurecableis connected s ecurely andoriented properly.
Small l atchonconnector should lineupandsnapintoplace.
Check forvisual s ignthatconsole display is cracked or
otherwise damaged. Replace Console if damaged.
If theabove steps donotresolve the problem, contact
Customer Careforfurther assistance.
Change display units(consult " Console Service Mode")
Makesurethedatacableis connected t othebackofthe
Console andthemainframeassembly.
MakesuretheSpeed Sensor M agnet a ndtheSpeed Sensor
areinplace.
Allwiresincableshould beintact.If anyarecutor crimped,
replace cable.
Besurecableis connected s ecurely andoriented properly.
Small l atchonconnector should lineupandsnapintoplace.
Magnet s hould beinplaceonpulley.
Speed Sensor A ssembly s hould bealigned withmagnet a nd
connected t o datacable. R ealign sensor i f necessary. Replace
ifthereis anydamage tothesensor o r theconnecting wire.
Replace batteries
Strap shouldbe"POLAR ® '' c ompatible a nduncoded. Make
surestrapis directly against s kinandcontact a reais wet.
Trymoving unitawayfromsources ofinterference ( TV,Micro-
wave, e tc).
If interference i s eliminated a ndHRdoesnotfunction, r eplace
strap.
If HRstilldoesnotfunction, r eplace Console.
Allwiresinthecable shouldbeintact.Ifanyarecutor crimped,
replace cable.
Besurecableis connected s ecurely andoriented properly.
