1. Connect saw to extension cord. Connect extension cord to power supply.
2. Make suresection o f logtobe cutisnotlaying on _ound. Thiswillkeepchain
from touching groundas it cutsthroughlog. Touching groundwithmoving
chainwill dull chain.
3. Use bothhandstogripsaw. Always use left h and to==,rip
front handleandright
hand togriprear hanclle. Use firmgrip. T humbs and fingers m ust wrap around
saw handles (see Figure10).
4. Make sure your footing isfirm. Keep feet apart. D ivideyour weightevenly on
bothfeet.
5. When readytomake a cut, press inswitchlockout withright thumb and squeeze
trigger (see Figure10). This will tam saw on.Releasing trigger w ill turn saw off.
Make suresaw isrunningatfull s peedbefore starting a cut.

6. When starting a cut, placemoving chainagainst w ood. Hold saw firmly inplace
toavoidpossible bouncingor skating ( sideways movement) of saw."
Guide saw usinglight p ressure. Do notforce saw.The motor will overload and
can bum out.
8. Remove saw from a cut with saw running at full speed. Stop saw by releasing
trigger. Make sure chain has stopped before setting saw down.
9. Practice until you can maintain a steady, even cutting rate.
