WARNING
Unplug chain saw from power source
before servicing.
Severe
injury or death could occur from electrical
shock or body contact
with moving chain.

Cutting edges on chain are sharp. Use protective
gloves when
handling
chain.
WARNING
Do not hand-sharpen
this Fast Sharp chain. Hand-sharpening
chain will increase
risk of kickback.
Keep chain sharp. Your saw will cut faster and more safely. A dull chain will cause
undue sprocket, guide bar, chain, and motor wear. If you must force chain into wood
and cutting creates only sawdust with few large chips, chain is dull.
FoUow the steps below to sharpen Fast Sharp chain. The automatic
chain sharpener
sharpens cutter, lowers cutter depth gauge, and adjusts guard drive link.
I. Adjust saw chain for propor tension (see Saw Chain Tension Adjustment,
page I0).
2. Clean out excess sawdust and wood chips from drive sprocket area.
3. "rum sharpener knob counterclockwise
until clicking stops.
4. "rum sharpener knob clockwise until you hear five distinct clicks.

5. Place saw on clean, fiat smface.
6. Connect saw to power supply.
7. Hold saw, with both hands in normal cutting position.
8. Press in switch lockout with right thumb and squeeze trigger.
