Once the VCR has completed
the "AllSet" set-up,
it can automati-
cally set the clock, even your time zone and daylight
saving time,
when the VCR is turned
off (auto clock function).
For the auto
clock function
to activate
automatically,
the "(',lock set" setting
of
the "Set the clock" menu must be set to AUTO. (See "Using the
auto clock function"
on page 36.)
Using video mute
When you turn video mute ON, any blank section
of tape, or any
station
with a weak signal, will be replaced
by a blue screen.
The
sound will also be turned
off. If there is a time when you would
like to try to tune in a weak station,
turn video mute OFF.
Beforeyoubegin,youshouldknowhow:

Press the MENU button
on the remote
control. The _V ,R
Main Menu" appears
on your TV.
Use the ADJUST
dial on the remote
control to select "Cus-
tomize choices." Turn the shuttle
ring to tine right.
The "Customize
choices" menu appears
on your screen.
Use
the ADJUST
dial to select "Wideo mute.:' Then, turn the
shuttle
ring to the right to :set video mute to ON or OFF.
Press the MENU
button
once to return
to the "VCR Main
Menu" menu;
press the MENU button
a second time to turn
off the menus.
Adding and deleting channels
If necessary,
you can manually
add or delete channels
after you
have completed
the automatic
channel
programming
by using the
AlISet
TM
feature.
(You cannot
do this for channels
coming from a
satellite
receiver.)
Beforeyou begin,you shouldknowhow:
• to view the picture
coming from your VCR; (see page 25)
• to use the menus.
(See page 28.)
Make sure that video mute is ON. (See above.)
Press the MENU
button
on the remote control. The '_V'CR
Main Menu" appears
on your TV.

Time Set-Up."
Turn the shuttle

You will see the "First Time Set-Up"
menu.
