Control
Functions
1.
Air
Exchanger:
Circulates
fresh air and
helps
remove
stale air when
in the open
position.
Maximum
air circulation
and cool-
ing occur
when
in the closed
position.
2,
Master
Control:
Turns unit on and off.
Se]ects desired
function
of unit,
cooling
or
heating
(on some
models)
with
continuous
MASTER
CONTROL
C_L
air circulation
or air
circulation
without
cooling
or heating.
3. Thermostat:
Controls
unit
thermostat,
which
regulates
room
tempera-
ture by automatically
turning
compressor
or
heating
dements
(on
some
models)
on and off.

to highest
number.

coolest
setting.

If room
becomes
too cool
for comfort,
turn
Thermostat

counterclockwise
until
compressor
turns
off (air circulating
fan will
remain
in operation).

When
the desired
comfort
level
is reached,
Master
Control
may be turned
to lower
setting.
6,
To turn
unit off, or in event of a power
interruption,
turn Master
Control
to OFF.
Caution:
If air conditioner is shut off, wait a minimum
of three minutes before restarting.
The heat from this unit is designed only as a supplemental heat source in addition to regular heating systems.

1. Turn Thermostat
Control
to position
"I".

Turn Master
Control
to HIGH
HEAT.
3,
If room
becomes
too warm
for comfort,
turn
Thermostat
Control
clockwise
until
heating
elements
turn off (air circulating
fan will
remain
in operation).
The temperature
will
be automatically
maintained.
Further
adjust-
ment
of Thermostat
control
may
be needed
to reach desired
comfort
level.

When
the desired
comfort
level
is reached,
Master
Control
may be turned
to LOW
HEAT.
5,
To turn
unit off, or in event
of power
inter-
ruption,
turn
Master
Control
to OFF.
Air Circulation

Cooling
or Heating
(For models with air exchanger)
To circulate
and filter air:
1, Close Air Exchanger.
2,
Turn Master
Control
to HIGH
FAN.
