Oven Control
Yourovenis controlled bga single OVEN
CONTROL knob.
It will normallg take 30-90 secondsbefore
the flame comes on.After the ovenreaches
the selectedtemperature, the ovenburner
cgcles-off completelu,then on with a
full flame-to maintain the selected
temperature.
Plastic items on the caoktop may melt
if left too close to the vent
Vent appearance and location vary.
Oven Vent
Youroven isvented through ducts at the rear
of the range. Donot block these ducts when
cooking in the oven-it is important that the
flow of hot air from the oven and fresh air
to the oven burner be uninterrupted.
Avoidtouching the vent openingsor
nearbg surfaces during oven or broiler
operotion-theg mag become hot.
_! Handlesof pots and pans on the cooktop
may become hot if felt too closeto the vent.
Donot leaveplasticor flammableitems on
the cooktop-theg mag melt or ignite if left
too closeto the vent.
Donot leavecbsed containerson the
cooktop.Thepressurein closedcontainers
may _ncrease, which may causethem to
burst.
@Metal items will becomevery hat iftheg are
left on the cooktop,and couldcause bums.
Power Outage
{electric ignition models)
^,., C AUTION: not make any
attempt to operatethe electricignitionoven
during an electricalpower failure.
Theovenor broiler cannot be lit during
a power failure. Gaswill not flowunless
the glow bar is hot.
If the oven is in usewhen a powerfailure
occurs,the oven burner shutsoff and cannot
be re-tit until power is restored.Thisis
becausethe flow of gas is automaticallg
stopped and will not resumewhen power
is restored until the glow bar has reached
operating temperature.

turn the light on or off.
