Before Starting Playback
Loading the Batteries in the
Remote Control

Press down on the tab in the direction of the
arrow to remove the battery cover.

Load the two "AAA" size batteries (R-03 size,
UM/SUM-4) supplied with the remote control.
Make sure that the battery poles
positioned as indicated.

Slide the battery cover in the direction of the
arrow until it clicks.
NOTE
•
Do not subject the remote control to shock, water or
excessive humidity.
•
The remote control may not function if the system's remote
sensor is in direct sunlight or any other strong light.
•
Incorrect use of batteries may cause them to leak or burst.
Read the battery warnings and use the batteries properly.
•
Do not mix old and new batteries, or mix different brands.
•
Remove the batteries if you will not use the remote control
for an extended period of time.
WARNING
•
Do not use or store batteries in direct sunlight or other
excessively hot place, such as inside a car or near a heater.
This can cause batteries to leak, overheat, explode or
catch fire.
It can also reduce the life or performance of batteries.

Connecting the Power Cord
•
Plug the supplied AC cord into the AC IN terminal on
the rear of this system. Then plug into an AC outlet with
ground hole.
•
Place the system close to the AC outlet, and keep the
power plug within reach.
•
TO PREVENT RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, DO NOT
TOUCH THE UN-INSULATED PARTS OF ANY CABLES
WHILE THE AC CORD IS CONNECTED.
•
The STANDBY indicator blinks while the system is
preparing for starting up. You cannot turn the system on
until the STANDBY indicator stops blinking.
•
If you are not going to use this system for a long period of
time, be sure to remove the AC cord from the AC outlet.
