INSTALLING THE SANDING BELT

Install the sanding belt and adjust tension to the
sanding position. (The letter "S" on the scale.)
NOTE: Check the tension often when a new belt
is installed. A new belt will stretch during use.

Rotate the upper wheel by hand (clockwise) to
check the sanding belt tracking. Adjust tracking
if necessary. (Reference the blade tracking sec-
tion for tracking procedure.)
After tracking the sanding belt if the belt and the
platen do not align loosen the upper blade guide
support and slide the support in or out to align.
Then tighten set screws to hold support and
platen in place. It may also be necessary to adjust
the lower blade guide support to align the blade
guide with the sanding platen,
