Step 1 Turn the Camera On
Turning the Camera On and Off
• When tile camera is turned on, tile power on lamp (green) will light and then
the monitor will turn on (the power on lamp turns offwhen the monitor turns
on).
• To turn off the camera, press the power switch When the camera is turned off,
both the power on lamp and the display turn off
• To turn on the camerain playbackmode,pressand hold the F_-](playback)
button The lens will not extend

If no operations are per_rmed _r a while, the monitor will turn off, the camera will enter standby
mode, and the power on lamp will flash, If no operations are performed for appro×imately another
three minutes, the camera will turn off automatically,
To reactivate the monitor whib the power on lamp is flashing, press any of the _llowing buttons:
Power switch, shutter release button, I_1 (shooting mode) button, [] (playback) button or • (,1_
movie record) button.

Camera enters Camera turns off
standby mode
• The time that elapses before the camera enters standby mode can be changed using the Auto off
setting in the setup menu (_88).
• By default, the camera enters standby mode in about one minute when you are using shooting
mode or playback mode.
• if you are using the optional AC Adapter EH 62G (available separately), the camera enters standby
mode after 30 minutes (fixed).
