Charging The Battery - Nikon COOLPIX S560 User Manual

The CHARGE lamp status and description of each status are as follows.

Battery charging.
Battery fully charged.
• Remove and reinsert the battery into the battery charger at a
nearly horizontal angle.
If ambient temperature is not 5 to 35 °C (41 to 95 °F), wait until
temperature is in this range before charging.
Battery error. Unplug charger and remove battery immediately
and take both devices to retailer or Nikon-authorized service
representative.
3 Unplug the charger.
Remove the battery and unplug the charger.

_1_ Note on the Battery Charger
Be sure to read and _llow the warnings _r the battery charger on pages iii and iv he.re using the
battery charger.
The supplied battery charger is for use only with a Rechargeable Li ion Battery EN EL11, Do not use
with incompatible batteries.
When recharging the battery, the ambient temperature should be 5 to 35 °C (41 to 95 °F).
The battery will not charge if its temperature is below 0 °C (32 °F) or above 60 °C (140 °F). The
recha rgeable capacity of the battery may tend to decrease when the battery temperature is from
0 °C to 15 °C (32 °F to 59 °F) and from 45 °C to 60 °C (113 °F to 140 °F).

Be sure to read and _llow the warnings _r the battery on page iii and the section, '%he Battery"
(1_ 135), before using the battery.
[] Note on AC power supply
Using the EH 62E (1_ 132) AC Adapter allows you to supply power from a wall outlet to the COOLPIX
$560. Do not, under any circumstances, use an AC adapter other than the EH 62E.
Connecting another model of AC Adapter cannot recharge the battery.
Failure to observe this precaution could result in overheating or damage to the camera.
