If you receive channels through a cable box, it is necessary to establish a link with the VCR. This is done by
entering the cable box output channel (the channel that you tune your TV to in order to watch cable stations) into
the VCR's memory. If your cable box is remote controllable, it may be possible for the VCR to automatically change
cable box channels for VCR Plus+ and Timer recordings.
If your cable box is remote controllable, place it
on top of the VCR as shown on page 16.

Helpful Note
• Make each entry within 5 minutes in steps 6 and 8,
and within 60 seconds for other steps, or the VCR
will leave this mode.
