3 BASIC OPERATION

Accessing from the Printers and Faxes folder

You can access the Document Monitor window from the [Printers and Faxes] or [Printers] folder. Selecting a printer or
network fax driver in the folder will display the Document Monitor window with the selected device information.

Accessing from the printers and faxes folder

The following steps provide an example on Windows Vista.
The steps are the same on any other Windows OS.
Open the [Printers and Faxes] or [Printers] folder.

2 Select and right-click on a driver icon and, from the menu that appears, select
[Document Monitor].
The Document Monitor window appears for the selected device.
If the connection to the printer is not properly set, a [message] dialog box appears. In this case, click [OK] to
search for a printer and establish the connection.
