1 )You d id not c onfigure initial settings after purchasing the
camera or the camera may h ave b een left w ith adead
battery. Configure the correct settings (pages 19, 1 66).
2)There may b e aproblem with the camera's memory data. If
this isthe case, perform the reset operation toinitialize the
camera's setup (page 170). After that, configure each setting.
Ifthe language selection screen does not re-appear when you
turn t he camera on, i tmeans that the camera's memory
management data h as b een r estored.
Ifthe same message appears after you turn p ower back on,
contact your retailer oraCASlO authorized service center.
Load the camera's battery and reconfigure the time a nd date
settings (page 19). Do not r emove the battery from the camera
for a tleast 24 hours after configuring time a nd d ate s ettings.
After that, the settings will n ot b e reset ifyou remove the
battery.
• Ifthe time a nd d ate a re reset totheir factory default settings
when you remove the battery after ithas b een l oaded for
more than 2 4 hours, itcould mean that the camera's setting
memory isdefective. Contact your retailer oraCASlO
authorized service center.
With l arge capacity memory cards there i sadelay after the
3ower has b een t urned onbefore the buttons become
responsive.
_ Display Messages
The camera's protection function may have activated
because camera temperature is too high. Turn off the
camera and wait until it cools down before trying to use it
again.
Battery power is low.
The camera could not go into auto record standby for some
reason during a Move Out CS or Move In CS operation.
Compose the image again with the boundary aligned
correctly (page 81 ).
The image you specified with the slideshow "Images"
setting cannot be found. Change the "Images" setting (page
120) and try again.
You are attempting to save a user BEST SHOT scene in
the "SCENE" folder when the folder already contains 999
user scenes.
